What does LDE_CFG2 work?

the dw1000 has a register:0x2E:1806 ,named LDE_CFG2,so I want to know how this work? What will be affected by this register? in the APS006_Part-2-NLOS，we will see “Receiver threshold Option2” in Figure 10.How does this option 2 work?
